The Answers
Thursday, March 29th, 2007Okay, here are the answers to the questions that were asked of me. These are just my opinions and thoughts.
My friend Cris asked…
1. What is your favorite movie?
This is kind of a tough question. This changes from time to time. Though an old stand by for me is 1776, which is a musical about the signing of the declaration of independence, or the Sandlot.
2. What is your favorite CD?
Again this is a tough one for it is always changing. Right now if I just want to put on a CD and not have to worry about skipping around songs, I load my CD player with John Mayer and I am good to go. Some other favorites would be Phil Collins, Matchbox 20, or Coldplay
3. Who is going to be the next NASCAR champ?
I am going to go out on a limb and say Kevin Harvick.
4. What concert would you like to see next?
Well even though I just saw him, I would like to go to another John Mayer concert. I also wouldn’t mind seeing Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, Joss Stone, Phil Collins, or the Fray.
My sister-in-law Angie asked…
1. What is the weather going to be like on April 14th?
Well Angie, for your sake I hope that it will be like it was this Monday minus the rain in the morning.
My brother Scott asked…
1. Why don’t you have the vast knowledge that I have? And why do you really consider that I have so much more knowledge then you do?
Okay, maybe it’s not that you have more knowledge then I do, it’s just a different kind of knowledge. Ask me about a crusty pipe problem and I can help you, but ask me about the metric system and I’m clueless. I guess it’s that we have some different interest and have learned about different things.
2. Why didn’t you ask me any questions when I did it this last time?
I couldn’t think of any and then when I came up with a few you had already posted your answers, so I will use them the next time.
3. Who is the most influential person in your life? Or maybe better asked, who has influenced your life the most?
Well there have been a lot of people who have influenced my life. My family has been a big influence in my life. There have been other people outside of family that have influenced my life. One would be Marie Errante. Growing up I wanted to be like her and then after her accident, I got to see her true determination and wanted to be even more like her.
4. Do you think the Tigers can with the AL Pennant again this year?
I guess we can only hope so. I haven’t heard too much about how they have been playing during their spring training. As far as I know they have keep the core of last years team so I think they have a pretty good shot.
5. What was the last book of fiction that you read completely? Was it any good?
The last full book I read was 4th of July by James Patterson. It was pretty good. I have read a few books by him and they all have been good.
6. How many times a day to you answer the phone?
Far too many times. Answering the phone is part of my job (one that I wish I could stop). I would say on a day-to-day basis I answer the phone at least 30-40 times. And all of that is pretty much at work. From time to time I answer the phone at home and very once in awhile my cell phone rings.
7. Do you think that wearing white before Memorial Day is stupid, or that the fad of not wearing white between Labor Day and Memorial Day is stupid?
I never have understood that fad. I personally never wear white (or at least a lot of white). I am far to clumsy with food and such to wear too much white. But I say wear what you want, when you want to.
8. Who do you think will be NASCAR champ in 2008?
Okay, I am really going to pick an out there guess and say Reed Sorenson. I know he is young but he is getting better and maybe after having one more year under his belt he will step up and be a new star of NASCAR.
9. When was the last time you used Tylenol?
Well I used Tylenol sinus on Saturday. The last time I used just plain Tylenol…. not really sure.
10. When was the last time you changed a diaper?
This may come as a surprised considering the three little ones we have around but I think is has been over a year. The last one I can remember changing was Jordan and it was a while ago.
11. Do you have any clue who you might vote for in the 2008 Presidential Election?
I don’t really have an answer for this one yet. I haven’t been doing any research into the candidate yet. As the year goes on I will become more involved in all the election stuff and make my decision.
12. When was the last time you did something stupid in public?
Well this last Saturday Angie and I went out to see this guy perform at the Eagles Club. One of the things this guy does in his act is sing the “Beer” song. While performing he also changes costumes and props. One of his props for the “Beer” song is a pair of beer mug glasses. Well I put them on and had my picture taken. Then later in the evening I was out on the dance floor with Angie’s mom and then Angie pulled me out for a dance.
13. Why do brothers ask so many annoying questions?
Because they can!
My other brother Brian asked…
1. What do you think of the “car of tomorrow” that was unveiled at Bristol?
So far I am pretty neutral on the C.O.T. Bristol really isn’t the best race track to unveil a new car. I think we will have to wait a few more races to really see if the new car makes much of a difference. The overall look of the car isn’t bad. But I think it makes it even harder to tell the manufacturers apart.
2. If you could ban one driver from NASCAR for the rest of his life (for the better of the sport or for your own dislike) who would it be?
I know most people are probably thinking that I would say Jeff Gordon, but I’m not. I may not like the guy but (and this is tough for me to admit) he has done a lot for the sport. I would have to say it would be between Robby Gordon or Kurt Busch. I could do without either one in the sport.
3. I’m always trying to get Jodi to watch sports with me. The problem is that she hates sports and has no interest. The only thing that I have found that works is when she finds an athlete cute. So I need a women’s opinion so I can try to influence Jodi into watching NASCAR and the Detroit Tigers. In both areas that I mentioned who do you think is cute. It can be more then one in each but please save your Tony Stewart comments for someone else because I will not let Jodi become a Tony Stewart fan.
OK, for NASCAR there are a few choices… depending on what type of guy she might exactly want to watch. These are in no certain order… Kevin Harvick, Jamie McMurray, Casey Mears, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kasey Kahne, Jimmy Johnson or Reed Sorenson.
As far as the Tigers there really isn’t a whole lot. I would have to say Mike Maroth or Sean Casey are really the only choices.
4. When are you going to find a good man to have in your life?
I wish I knew the answer to this question. But I’ll tell you that I am ready to find him.
5. How can all of us help get you the courage and confidence to get more aggressive (speed dating, single groups…etc) in making yourself available?
I don’t think anyone can really help me too much right now. I have been working on my self in a few different areas to help my courage. As far as speed dating goes, I’m not sure that is something I could do without some moral support. I have been thinking about putting my self on Yahoo Personals. And getting back in touch with some old friends may help too. Or if anyone knows any single guys that they could set me up with I would be willing to give it a try.
6. Being that you have visited Atlanta do you think you would ever move down here for a better opportunity?
The area that you are in is a very nice place. I think if a better opportunity presented itself in Georgia I would probably move down there. I keep checking the Atlanta Thrashers web site to see if they have any positions available that I would fit but haven’t seen any yet.
