Well yesterday was my 26th birthday. It was a pretty calm day. Went to work, which was pretty quite, then got home and went to dinner with my parents to Famous Dave’s. They had been there before but this was my first time. The food was pretty good. They use a much smokier BBQ then I am used to but it was yummy. While we were at the restaurant we watched a cop pull over at least 5 to 6 people. Our waiter was telling us that that area is a hot spot to get pulled over (he thinks they watch for people to make a turn out of a parking lot that they can’t make). After dinner we stopped in to drop off some cookies for my brother and sister and niece. Poor Little J is still all spotted. Then once we left there we got home and just had a relaxing night at home.

I just want to wish everyone a safe and merry Christmas.  I hope Santa is good to everyone this year.

Well the house is buzzing with activity as everyone gets ready for the first day of the Christmas holiday.  Today we will be heading over to my brother and sister-in-laws to have our family Christmas.  The only problem is that one brother and sister-in-law and their daughter will not be able to join us.  My “Little J” has the chicken poxes, so after spending time with the family my parents and I will be heading to their house to spend time with them and get their present to them.  I hope everyone has a safe and merry Christmas Eve.

Well the great bake-off has started once again in the City of Center Line.  Mom has taken back the role of “Cookie Queen” this year.  She has been baking since this last weekend and still has more to go.  I have been making chocolate, more chocolate and even more chocolate.  I don’t really want to see anymore chocolate.  And I finally found out that I got an A- in my other class.  One thing I hate about the end of the semester is that you take a final the last day of class and almost never find out what you got on it.  I really want to know how I did on the final for this class.  Anyway, the holidays are truly around the corner and the stress level is the house has reached a new all time high.  There is a lot to be done and the days just aren’t long enough.  As a matter of fact I have to end this post so that I can get back to holiday stuff.
 

Company Party…
 

Well today I had my company Christmas party.  I got a pretty nice Christmas gift (bonus).  I have been with this company for six and a half years and they have taken very good care of me.  As usual it was a very nice dinner… I had ribs and a baked potato.  There was also some appetizers (including pizza), then we had salad and bread stick and then our food.  There were also ice cream sundaes.  It is always nice to see everyone outside of the office.  We are a pretty small bunch (under 25 people including the owner and his wife) and have a pretty fun time together.  I still remember how nervous I was the first time I went to the company party.  I was only 19 and had only been there six months.  But now they are something I look forward to and end up driving the newer people there.

Break Time…
 

Well I am finally done with school for the semester.  As of right now I know I got a B in my Illustration Fundamentals class and am waiting for my grade in my fitness and nutrition class.  I get a month off before I start my next set of classes.  I will be taking an English (Communications) class and a marketing class.  I am looking forward to both of these classes.  Then I think I will have two left to be done with my Associate Degree in Business with a specialty of Multi-Media.  Then I get to figure out what I want to do next.

Well last night my friend Cris and I met up with a few old friends.  One of them is my ex-boyfriend Jeremy and his friend (also a friend of mine and Cris’) Mike.  Now when the four of us hang out it is a lot of fun and a lot of laughing happens.  This time we met at the Denny’s parking lot of a mall in Novi, which is about the half way point.  Cris and I got there first and while we were waiting we noticed this guy in the Denny’s.  He kept wiping his hands in a napkin.  Then he would fold the napkin over and wipe again.  Then he would blow on the napkin and wipe once more.  We then noticed that he would grab a new napkin and start the process all over again.  This continued for a good 15-20 minutes.  Then the guys arrived and the man soon left the Denny’s.  As far as hanging out with the guys, it was pretty fun.  We ate dinner, walked around the very crowed mall, went and played some pool and then drove around (which led to getting slightly lost) and then said our good byes.  It is always nice to see the guys, but always hard to say goodbye because I never know how long it’s going to be until the next visit.  Once Cris and I got home we decided to put up my Christmas tree and start decorating it.  Now keep in mind that we didn’t get home until after 10:00.  We got most of the ornaments on and finished this morning.  But throughout the day Cris wasn’t feeling that great and I think she may have gotten the flu that went through the family.  So I am going to go check on her and see if she needs anything.

Well today my friend, Cris, came into town to visit.  She is here to help out with some of the stuff that has been going on and to lend a hand in holiday stuff.  We went and did some power shopping…. she did better than I did at that.  But we hit a major traffic stop…. which turned out to be some event going on at a church.  We were stuck in traffic for about 30 minutes going to an event that we didn’t even know about!!!  Then we stopped and got some icecream at Cold Stone Creamery.  Seeing that I was driving, Cris had to hold both icecreams.  Now it is only about 20 degrees outside (wind chill is much lower) but my icecream was starting to melt.  I opened her window and she stuck my icecream out the window to cool it off!  We finally made it home and I had to start cleaning.  So anyway, I am going to get going so I can finish my icecream.

I want to welcome those that are reading my first post.  I first have to thank my big brother Scott and his friend David for helping me get this started.  This will be a place for me to put down some of my random thoughts, keep people up to date with me and just to see what others have on their minds.  I invite anyone reading my blog to post comments… I understand that you opinion will not always be the same as mine.  I guess that is all for the first post.  Again welcome, hope you enjoy my ramblings and remember to give me feedback.
